 Reiki is a method of healing through divine love. The word, in Japanese, represents Universal Life Force.  Its origins are ancient.  Doctor Mikao Usui re-discovered it in the late 18 hundreds and founded Reiki as a natural healing system. The creative energy around and within us is activated for the promotion of healing, balance and wholeness.

This energy is channelled to another or can be used for self-healing. 

The nature of the energy being holistic, helps prevent and rectify imbalances, such as stress, assists the natural healing powers of the body, and maintains the balance as a state of well-being. All levels are harmonised, including the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.  Reiki is relaxing and can restore the vital energy lost in every day life. 

Reiki is a simple and powerful process.  The limitless, universal energy is drawn through the hands of the practitioner to wherever it is needed in the body.  As stress is released, both the receiver and the giver experience a deep feeling of relaxation and well-being. Through treatments a subtle change in awareness can evolve. By degrees, the realisation of taking back personal power may be sensed, combined with a renewed ability to cope and respond to life’s challenges in a positive, clear minded and balanced way. 

In this age there is a growing awareness of the individual’s responsibility for their health and well being. Also for the fate of our beautiful planet. Attuning to the Universal Life Force through Reiki brings a balance and harmony through which we can relate positively to others, the environment and ourselves. 

Individual treatment takes approximately one hour. The recipient needs simply to be comfortable and relax.
